Chocolatito Wins First Fight Since July 2024

On the night of September 14 at Gimnasio Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua, former world champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (53-4, 42 KOs) faced Hector Robles (13-9-3, 4 KOs) in a Super Flyweight bout (52.2 kg limit).

The fight went the full 10 rounds and ended with Gonzalez winning by unanimous decision. The judges scored it 96-94, 97-93, and 98-92 in favor of Chocolatito.

Roman Gonzalez last fought in July 2024, when he stopped Rober Barrera in the 10th round.

In May, Hector Robles earned a unanimous decision victory over Gerardo Rodriguez.
