Chisora's Opponent Announced for Upcoming Undercard Match at Joshua vs Whyte Rematch

Derek Chisora (33-13, 23 KOs), a prominent figure in British heavyweight boxing, will be participating in the upcoming undercard fight set to precede the much-anticipated rematch between Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) and Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs).

Rico Boxing reports that Chisora, aged 39, will be facing former WBC title contender, 41-year-old American Gerald Washington (20-5-13 KO). This adds a layer of excitement to the forthcoming event, promising an undercard fight to remember.

The boxing event is scheduled to take place on August 12 at London's iconic O2 arena.

Chisora's last bout in December 2022 didn't go as planned. He was defeated by a technical knockout in the tenth round by the reigning WBC world champion, Tyson Fury.

As for Washington, his last foray into the ring was in January, where he suffered an eighth-round TKO loss to Ali Eren Demirezen. Both fighters are looking to rebound from their respective losses in what promises to be a thrilling undercard showdown.
