Chisora Doesn’t Believe He’ll Fight Joshua – Says AJ Has Bigger Plans

British heavyweight Derek Chisora doesn’t think a fight with Anthony Joshua will happen—despite the fact that fans voted for AJ as his next opponent after his last fight.

"I need something big. I believe I’ve earned something big. Who knows?"

However, Chisora believes Joshua is still recovering from his loss to Daniel Dubois and has a different comeback fight in mind.

"Right now, AJ is recovering from his defeat to Dubois. He’s not ready yet. When he comes back, I think he’ll return—not for a fight with me, but for a fight with the Gypsy King."

Still, Chisora insists the final decision should be up to the fans:

"Let the public decide. I’ll let you guys choose."

Chisora is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Otto Wallin, marking the 49th fight of his pro career. He has previously stated that he plans to retire after his 50th fight.
