British heavyweight Dereck Chisora says he could find himself fighting for a full world title — and explained how the reigning undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk factors into that scenario.
“We want Joseph Parker, and Frank Warren can organize that fight. If Usyk refuses to face his mandatory challenger, then Joseph and I would fight for the full title.
But I don’t know how likely that is. Nobody does. The problem is that Usyk has everyone in his grip – all the belts are in his hands, and it all depends on him. The plans of the top heavyweights are tied to Usyk and his decisions,” Chisora said.
Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) has already fought Parker twice — losing both times. Earlier, Serhii Lapin, CEO of Usyk’s team, responded to the demands that the champion clarify soon whether he intends to defend his belt against the New Zealander.
