Chebotar Wins WBC Youth World Title

On June 7, at the Palace of Sports in Kyiv, Ukraine, Vasyl Chebotar (19-0, 9 KOs) of Moldova defeated Nazri Ragimov (15-5, 8 KOs) of Ukraine in a 10-round bout for the vacant WBC Youth super welterweight title (limit: 69.9 kg / 154 lbs).

The fight went the distance and ended with a unanimous decision in favor of Chebotar.

Scorecards: 99–91, 98–92, 99–91.

This was the second meeting between the two fighters — Chebotar also won their first bout in February 2020, also by unanimous decision.

In March, Chebotar scored an eighth-round TKO win over Milan Ganoșka, while for Ragimov, this marks his second loss in his last three fights.
