British boxer Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) announced that the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) has dismissed all charges against him related to a positive doping test that had surfaced before his planned fight with Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KOs) in 2022—a fight that never took place.
"I am grateful that, after an incredibly tough two years, the National Anti-Doping Panel has finally cleared me of all accusations.
The past 24 months have undoubtedly been the most challenging of my life. It's been a rollercoaster, during which the WBC had already cleared me, and now the NADP has found no grounds for accusations, allowing me to return to the ring.
As someone who deeply loves boxing and believes in a clean sport, I hope that now, with my official vindication, it’s clear why I stood firm and insisted on my innocence.
As a person of faith, I hold no ill will toward UKAD or the British Boxing Board. We share a common goal—a clean sport—and I look forward to reconciling with the Board so we can move forward together. I’d like to thank my fans who stood by me—your support has meant everything to me and always will.
I also thank my friends and family, who never lost faith in me. Only with this support was I able to get through it all. My gratitude goes out to Matchroom and Everlast—their unwavering support has brought me to this final outcome. Despite all the hardships, I stayed disciplined and focused, underscoring my commitment to achieve greatness.
I’m thrilled to finally close this chapter and can’t wait to get back in the ring and reach my full potential! Who’s next!?" Benn wrote.
In 2022, Benn failed two tests for clomiphene, a substance that enhances endurance. Though cleared in July of the following year, the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) won an appeal in May 2024 to overturn NADP’s decision, suspending Benn once more.
