Chamberlain Knocks Out Wahab in 1st Round

On May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a fight for the vacant WBC Silver lightweight title (up to 61.2 kg) took place between Briton Mark Chamberlain (16-0, 12 KOs) and Nigerian Joshua Wahab (23-2, 16 KOs).

The bout ended in the first round – Chamberlain sent the Nigerian to the canvas, Wahab got up, but the Briton immediately finished him off. KO 1.

This marks Mark Chamberlain's fifth consecutive stoppage victory. In March, Chamberlain won by technical knockout against Gavin Gwynne (17-3-1, 5 KOs). Wahab last fought in March 2023, when he won by technical knockout against compatriot Sikiru Shogbesan (17-3, 9 KOs).
