Floyd Mayweather’s protégé, American prospect Carmel Moton (6-0, 5 KOs), will have his next bout on February 1 as part of the undercard for the clash between David Benavidez and David Morrell.
The 18-year-old lightweight will face Cuban fighter Frank Saldivar (5-1, 3 KOs). The event will take place in Las Vegas, USA, and will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.
Moton last entered the ring in October, defeating Hilario Martinez Moreno via a first-round TKO. In late November, Carmel was scheduled to fight Brian Mercado but failed to make weight by 7 kilograms, leading to the bout’s cancellation.
In August, Frank Saldivar suffered his first career loss, dropping a unanimous decision to Yosdiel Napoles.
