Carl Froch's Toughest Opponent

The British former world champion, Carl Froch, revealed who he considers the toughest opponent of his career. This boxer turned out to be the Ghanaian, Charles Adamu, whom he met back in March 2004.

"Marcus McDonnell was the referee, and the score was 116–113. It was one of those fights, my first 12-round bout, which was going absolutely not in my favor until about the 7th round. I thought I couldn't reach this guy. I hit him with my best shots, and he just stood there. He was a solid guy from Ghana, hard as a rock, like a tree, a big oak. I hit him, and he just wouldn't budge. I was getting tired, started doubting myself, but he was getting stronger, and in the 8th round, Rob McCracken told me: 'Go at him. When you finish the attack, do it again.' I threw a double jab with the right hand after I already attacked him, and he went down on one knee. It was like in 'Rocky IV', when he cut Ivan Drago," Froch said on his YouTube channel.

Carl was a world champion in three versions at super middleweight (up to 168 lbs) and a finalist in the Super Six World Boxing Classic tournament.
