Former super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has conveyed a pragmatic perspective regarding a potential match with Oleksandr Usyk in the heavyweight category. Although he humorously remarks that a street fight wouldn't work out well for him, he offers a more realistic assessment of his chances in a formal ring contest.
"I was standing next to him. I estimated that he is 188-190 cm tall (191 - approx.). I look at him and think: 'And I like my chances.' No, no, not in the ring, but in a street fight. He would probably kill me. But I always estimate my chances," Froch stated.
Through this comment, Froch acknowledges the formidable strength and talent of Oleksandr Usyk, who is presently among the most promising boxers in the heavyweight division.
