The undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76,2 kg), Mexican boxer Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), has issued an ultimatum regarding his next fight on May 4th, reports Mexican journalist Fernando Schwartz.
"Canelo has threatened Al Haymon and PBC – if it's not Charlo, he won't be fighting on May 4th.
Here's what Canelo said, I quote: 'Well, if it's not Jermall, then there will be no fight in May,'" wrote Schwartz.
Last year, Canelo fought twice – defeating John Ryder and then Jermell Charlo, both by decision. Following these victories, he announced that his next bout would take place on May 4th, with the opponent not being a fellow Mexican.
