Canelo Open to Discussing a Potential Fight with Crawford

Mexican boxing superstar and WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) has addressed the possibility of facing WBA junior middleweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) as a potential opponent.

“Right now, I’m focused on other things. I’m enjoying time with my family. At the moment, I’m not talking about boxing,” Canelo said. “Maybe in January, we can start discussing it. I never say no to business. If it makes sense for me, I’m open to conversations, no matter the circumstances.”

In September, Álvarez scored a unanimous decision victory over Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs). Meanwhile, in August, Crawford dominated Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KOs) to claim a unanimous decision win over 12 rounds.
