The undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division (up to 76.2 kg), Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), has responded to whether it's possible to mend fences with promoter and Golden Boy head Oscar De La Hoya.
"I'm not interested in a friendship with him. I wish him all the best, and that's it. I don't want him in my life, I don't want him around me. I don't want that kind of atmosphere," said Canelo.
Oscar De La Hoya was Canelo Alvarez's promoter, but in November 2020, the two decided to end their partnership.
Canelo Alvarez's next opponent will be Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs). The fight is scheduled for May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.
