Canelo’s Next Opponent: Possible Names Revealed – Is Crawford Included?

Eddy Reynoso, trainer of WBC, WBA, and WBO super middleweight champion Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez, has revealed potential opponents for the Mexican star’s next fight.

According to Reynoso, Canelo will return to the ring in May 2025, with two primary candidates in consideration:

William Scull (23-0, 9 KOs) – the current IBF super middleweight champion

Christian Mbilli (28-0, 23 KOs) – holder of the WBC Continental Americas and WBA International titles at 168 lbs

Regarding a potential fight with Terence Crawford, Reynoso did not rule it out and even hinted that news on that front could emerge within the next two weeks.
