Canelo's Next Fight on Same Day as UFC 306

According to ESPN insider Mike Coppinger, undisputed super middleweight world champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) is finalizing an agreement to fight WBA mandatory challenger Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs). The bout is scheduled for September 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

On the same night, The Sphere in Las Vegas will host UFC 306.

Canelo last fought in May against Jaime Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs), winning by unanimous decision. In February, Edgar Berlanga scored a sixth-round knockout over Padraig McCrory (18-1, 9 KOs).
