Canelo and Munguia Close to Signing Contract

Insider Michael Benson, referencing ESPN, reports that the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and Mexican Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) are close to signing a contract for a fight.

The bout is set to take place on May 4th in Las Vegas. In his last fight in September of the previous year, Canelo won by unanimous decision against Jermell Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KOs). Munguia, in January, won by technical knockout against John Ryder (32-7, 18 KOs).
