Canelo Meets with Turki Alalshikh

WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (62–2–2, 39 KOs) recently met with Turki Alalshikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Turki posted a photo of their meeting on his social media accounts.

Previously, Turki Alalshikh has repeatedly stated that he wants to organize a showdown between Canelo and WBA junior middleweight (up to 69.85 kg) champion Terence Crawford (41–0, 31 KOs).

Alvarez last fought in September, defeating Edgar Berlanga by unanimous decision. IBF super middleweight champion William Scull was considered the likely next opponent for the Mexican star. However, with this meeting in Saudi Arabia, rumors are swirling about a potential blockbuster with Crawford.
