American trainer and Floyd Mayweather's uncle, Jeff, believes that in his current form, the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) won't be able to handle David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs).
"It will be a tough fight, but right now I'm leaning towards Benavidez.
I still think Canelo has the boxing skills, but if Alvarez takes as many hits against Benavidez as he did against Munguia, he won't win.
Canelo has been boxing for a very long time. He's now at the 'I don't need to fight' point," said Mayweather.
In his previous fight, Canelo defeated Munguia by judges' decision, defending his undisputed champion status for the fourth time.
