Canelo: "I'm the Best Right Now - That's for Sure"

The undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) responded to the question of whether he believes he is the greatest Mexican boxer in history.

"No, I don't consider myself the best fighter of all time. I respect all Mexican fighters of the past and present; I just do my thing. I'm the best right now - that's for sure," said Alvarez.

In the early hours of May 5, Saul Alvarez defeated Jaime Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs) by unanimous decision, successfully defending his undisputed champion title for the fourth time. This loss was the first in Munguia's career.
