Canelo: "I Wouldn't Let Ryan Fight"

In an interview with the streaming platform DAZN, the undisputed super middleweight world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) commented on the situation of American super lightweight Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs). He believes that Garcia should not enter the ring against WBC champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs).

"The only thing I want right now is for him to be surrounded by people who can help him because he needs it. I don't know what's happening with him, but I hope he has someone.

As for the fight, if he was well-prepared, it could be 50-50. Now, I think it will be very hard for him.

As his friend, if we were training together, I wouldn't let him fight," said Canelo.

The fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is scheduled for April 20 in New York, USA.

Canelo Alvarez will meet Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) on May 4. The event will be held in Las Vegas, USA.
