Undisputed super-middleweight champion Saúl Álvarez (63-2-2, 39 KO) shared his view of WBA light-middleweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KO), drawing a parallel with the legendary Floyd Mayweather:
“I think Crawford is even a little better than Mayweather. But people should remember that today’s Canelo is far more experienced than the one who stepped into the ring with Floyd.
In my opinion these are completely different fights, and I don’t want to compare the Crawford bout with any other. This will be one of the best fights in boxing history. That’s all,” said Canelo.
Recall that in September 2013 Mayweather handed Álvarez the first defeat of his career, winning by majority decision.
The showdown for the undisputed super-middleweight crown between Saúl Álvarez and Terence Crawford is set for 13 September in Las Vegas, USA, and will stream live on Netflix.
