The undisputed super middleweight champion (76,2 kg), Mexican Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs), says that in a potential fight against David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs), his opponent will significantly outweigh him. He also discussed whether he sees this as a problem.
"Benavidez will be about 25 or 30 pounds (about 11-13 kg) heavier than me on fight day. For me, this is not a problem. But if he wants me to meet him, it will cost $200 million," said Alvarez.
In his previous fight, Canelo defeated Jaime Munguia by decision. David Benavidez is set to fight in the light heavyweight division on June 15 against Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the WBC interim championship belt.
