Canelo vs. Berlanga: Dates of First Media Events Announced

The dates for the initial press conferences for the bout between former undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) of Mexico and Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) have been announced.

Both press conferences will take place in the USA: the first is scheduled for August 5 in New York at 1pm ET (6pm UK time), and the second on August 6 in Los Angeles at 1pm PT (9pm UK time).

The Canelo vs. Berlanga fight will be held on September 14 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

On May 5, Saul Alvarez won a unanimous decision against fellow countryman Jaime Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs). In February, Edgar Berlanga knocked out Irishman Padraig McCrory (18-1, 9 KOs) in the 6th round.
