Is Callum Smith Hanging Up His Gloves?

It looks like the British ex-world champ, Callum Smith (29-2, 21 KOs), isn't hanging up his gloves yet. Spilling the beans on his pre-retirement game plan, he said:

"I've got my eye on clinching titles in two weight divisions. Am I walking away without ticking that off my list? That'd be a tough pill to swallow.

I've got the chops to pull it off," Smith threw down the gauntlet.

In 2024, toe-to-toe with Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) for the WBC, WBO, and IBF light heavyweight (79.4 kg) crowns, Smith tasted his second career defeat and his first early knockout. His first setback was against Canelo back in 2020.

Post the Beterbiev knockout, Smith was on the ropes about continuing in the ring.
