The fight between British middleweight Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs) and Conor Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) has been officially cancelled.
The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) determined that the fight was impossible due to Benn's positive doping test.
Clomiphene was found in his body, a drug from the prohibited list of WADA. It is usually used to treat infertility in women.
A face-to-face meeting between Eubank Jr. and Benn was scheduled at the O2 Arena in London on October 8. At the same time, both boxers expressed a desire to fight despite Benn's doping test.
