Undercard Clash at the Spence-Crawford Match Called Off

Ukrainian super heavyweight Victor Vykhryst (11-1, 7 KOs), decided not to participate in the scheduled fight on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. His opponent was set to be the undefeated Armenian boxer, Gurgen Hovhannisyan (4-0, 4 KOs). This match was supposed to be an exciting undercard fight leading up to the main event between WBC, WBA, and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence and WBO titleholder Terence Crawford.

Earlier this year in February, Vykhryst experienced his first professional loss. He suffered a technical knockout in the eighth round and a broken rib during his bout with Cuban boxer Lenier Pero (9-0, 6 KOs).
