British Light-Heavyweight boxer Joshua Buatsi commented on signing with Frank Warren’s promotional outfit, Queensberry Promotions.
“I spoke with several promoters, and Queensberry have a plan that suits me. I’m a Brit, and support from fans in the United Kingdom means a lot to me. There’s nothing better than boxing in front of a home crowd — the energy, the passion — it fires me up.
With Queensberry I’m backed by a team that understands that and is truly investing in me here in Britain.
At the same time, thanks to their international links, I’ll be able to prove myself in the United States and around the world. But the key is that they have the right plan for my career: not just big fights, but the right fights at the right time on the road to a world title,” Buatsi said.
On 22 February, Joshua Buatsi (19-1, 13 KOs) suffered the first defeat of his career, dropping a unanimous decision to Callum Smith in their bout for the interim WBO Light-Heavyweight title.
