Recently, British light heavyweight Zach Parker spoke about filing an appeal to the WBA regarding the judges’ decision in his bout against Joshua Buatsi, which took place on November 1 in the United Kingdom.
One of the three judges scored the fight between Buatsi (20-1, 13 KOs) and Parker (26-2, 18 KOs) a draw — 95–95. The other two gave it to Joshua, 96–94, making him the WBA International champion as a result of the bout.
