On March 29 in Las Vegas, USA, WBO welterweight champion Bryan Norman (27-0, 21 KOs) delivered an emphatic victory over Puerto Rican contender Derrieck Cuevas (27-2-1, 19 KOs).
The fight ended early — in the third round, Norman landed a sharp one-two combination that sent Cuevas crashing to the canvas. Although the challenger managed to rise, he failed to fully recover before the referee’s count. TKO 3.
The defeat ends Cuevas’ run of four consecutive stoppage victories.
His last loss prior to this bout came in 2020, when he dropped a split decision to Argentine fighter Damián Bonelli.
