British boxing trainer Dave Coldwell reacted to promoter Bob Arum’s criticism of British judges, which he voiced directly in the ring following the fight between Jack Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs) and Josh Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs).
«Bob was asleep during some rounds, so I don’t take what he said about that fight very seriously. His fighter just got beaten, so of course, he’s going to say the opposite, that the judges’ scorecards were shameful.
I think the margin was too wide, but when Arum went on to say he felt Taylor was essentially robbed and that Taylor won the fight – he doesn’t know because a few people sitting near him told me he was asleep,» said Coldwell.
