Briedis: «Usyk Prepared for Fury for 8 Months»

Former cruiserweight champion (up to 90.7 kg) Mairis Briedis (28-2, 20 KOs) attempted to predict the winner of the bout between WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).

«Tyson Fury is an extraordinary fighter. It won’t be an easy fight. I think it will be very intense.

I believe Usyk is very hardworking, and he has prepared very diligently for this fight. Just like before his first fight against Joshua, he prepared for eight months.

In my prediction, I am 70 percent inclined to think that Usyk will win,» said Briedis.

The fight for the undisputed world heavyweight championship between Usyk and Fury will take place on the night of May 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

As part of this event, Briedis will face Jai Opetaia (24-0, 19 KOs) for the vacant IBF cruiserweight title.
