Brian Norman Could Face Top Japanese Contender

According to BoxingScene, undefeated WBO welterweight world champion Brian Norman (27-0, 21 KOs) may soon defend his title against rising Japanese star Jin Sasaki (19-1-1, 13 KOs).

The matchup is tentatively scheduled for June 19 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Sasaki, the official WBO mandatory challenger, was last seen in the ring in January, where he secured a victory to cement his title shot.

Norman, meanwhile, delivered an explosive performance on March 29, stopping Derrick Cuevas by knockout.
