The prominent boxing publication BoxingScene has named Terence Crawford the best boxer of 2025.

The American fought only once this year, making a massive leap across two weight divisions to face the Mexican undisputed super middleweight champion, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Crawford secured a victory by unanimous decision, becoming an undisputed champion for the third time in his career.

Following this historic win, Crawford officially announced his retirement from professional boxing. He leaves the sport as an undefeated legend with a final record of 42-0, 31 KOs.

Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez received a "Special Honorable Mention" for his performance throughout the year. Rodriguez secured two stoppage victories in 2025, unifying three belts in his division.

The "Best of the Rest" list by BoxingScene included: David Benavidez, Dmitry Bivol, Devin Haney, Junto Nakatani, Fabio Wardley.
