Boxing's Next Big Thing: Arum Eyes Pacquiao-Taylor Mega Match!

Promoter Bob Arum's gearing up for a knockout show. He's eyeing a fight between the former undisputed champ Josh Taylor and the boxing legend Manny Pacquiao:

"We're lining up a bout for Josh before April next year. The opponent's still up in the air, but Taylor's primed for a comeback.

He's a top-notch fighter and will return to the ring in the first quarter 2024.

The contender I'm keen on pitting against Josh Taylor is Manny Pacquiao. That'd be a sizzler, either at interim featherweight or 147 pounds. I reckon Manny would jump at this chance," Arum declared.

Manny last duked it out in the pro ring in August 2021, taking a hit against Yordenis Ugas. Since then, he's been in the exhibition ring and has his sights set on the 2024 Olympics.

Josh Taylor took a spill in the summer of 2023 against Teofimo Lopez and hasn't gloved up since. The Scotsman's been vocal about his game plan for the upcoming year.
