American boxing ace Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs), in a candid chat with ESNews, teased the possibility of a post-match faceoff with Vasyl Lomachenko.
- Are you planning to invite Loma to the showdown?
- To which one?
- Your bout, of course.
- Oh yeah, he can step up after the bell. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right there.
Mark your calendars for November 16th in the U.S., where Stevenson will vie for the vacant WBC lightweight crown against the Dominican go-getter Edwin De Los Santos (16-1, 14 KOs).
Stevenson doesn't shy away from a future clash with Lomachenko, saying, "A scrap with Loma is on my hit list. There's no reason it shouldn't be the next spectacle. I've heard Loma's been offered a fat paycheck and turned it down. We're crossing gloves soon, no doubt. There's no reason to dodge.
"I reckon I'd outbox him thoroughly. Hats off to him – he's got skills and showed them off in his last tiff. He's got the smarts and the moves. But my money's on me to potentially KO him. If not, I'm all in to school him well," stated Stevenson, amped for the challenge.
