Boxing Legends Collide: Berto-Guerrero II Set to Ignite Showtime Boxing Night

Former welterweight titlist Andre Berto (32-5, 24 KOs) is set to settle old scores with Robert Guerrero (37-6-1, 20 KOs) in a hotly-anticipated rematch. Speaking exclusively to Fight Hype, Berto has his eyes on redemption:

"People are in for a surprise! I've been grinding away in camp. I'm dropping the news right here — November 25 is the date for my clash with Guerrero. I've always had a score to settle with those who've bested me. It's something I vowed to do before hanging up my gloves," Berto confided.

A marquee matchup between David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade will headline the fight night on Showtime. Adding to the excitement, Jermall Charlo returns to the ring after a two-year pause to battle it with Jose Benavidez, independent of Charlo's WBC title defenses.

At 40 years young, Berto steps back into the squared circle for the first time since 2018, when he edged out a victory over Devon Alexander. Guerrero, also 40, is back after his 2021 triumph over Victor Ortiz.

The initial showdown between Berto and Guerrero unfolded in 2012, where Guerrero triumphed through a judges' decision, subsequently landing a fight with Floyd Mayweather — a match that resulted in a defeat by unanimous decision. Berto, having also duked it out with Mayweather in 2015, is eager to rewrite the final chapters of his boxing legacy.
