Bogachuk Predicts Fundora's Victory Over Tszyu Under Certain Conditions

In an interview with vRINGe, Ukrainian super welterweight (up to 69.8 kg) boxer Sergey Bogachuk (23-1, 23 KOs) shared his prediction for the fight between WBO champion Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) and American Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs).

"I think Fundora will beat him," Bogachuk speculated. "Firstly, Tszyu was preparing for the shorter Keith Thurman. Instead, he's facing Fundora—a giant southpaw, an unconventional southpaw. Tszyu is a rhythm fighter. Just like me. And I've sparred a lot with Fundora. I know how he works with such fighters. He likes it when they press on him. He welcomes the brawl. And Tszyu will press, will push. That's exactly what Fundora needs. He'll meet him head-on. He'll take on the fight.

The only way he might lose is if he gets caught and loses by knockout. But if the fight goes all 12 rounds, then I believe Fundora will win. He'll outwork him. Definitely outwork him," Bogachuk stated.

The fight between Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora is set for March 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA. At stake will be Tszyu's WBO title and the vacant WBC belt. As part of the event, Bogachuk will fight American Bryan Mendoza (22-3, 16 KOs) for the WBC "interim" title.
