Trainer Billy Nelson shared his thoughts on the rematch between WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs).
Nelson stated that, by his count, the fight ended in a draw.
“I can say that I scored it a draw. It was a very close fight. There was no clear dominance by one fighter. I’m sorry, but I find it difficult to agree with the official result. As I said, it was a draw.
The fight was really very even. Many are claiming Tyson was robbed, but I don’t know what to say. It was a very close match,” said Nelson.
On December 21, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by unanimous decision.
