Purse Bid for Billam-Smith vs Frese Declared Void

The purse bid for the bout between Chris Billam-Smith (35 years old) and Roman Frese (31 years old) for the interim WBO cruiserweight title has been declared void.

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) confirmed that no promotional bids were received. The sanctioning body will hold another meeting to decide on the next steps.

Chris Billam-Smith (21-2, 13 KOs) last fought in April, defeating Brandon Glanton by unanimous decision.

In May, Roman Frese (23-1, 13 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over Michael Seitz.
