Bill Haney, father and trainer of American Welterweight star Devin Haney, shared his thoughts on the upcoming exhibition between Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson.

“Let’s talk about the biggest and most important showcase fight in boxing right now. Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson. Now you’re talking about a real exhibition between two legends who deserve to make big money together.

Let’s break records. Let’s all support a true spectacle between two legends. That’s how the game should work. We don’t need to mix them up with other fighters.

Respect to Floyd and respect to Mike. Let Floyd make more money than the mint. Let Floyd make more than a printing press can produce. A true show between two boxing legends — what’s wrong with that?

I want to come out and promote this fight because I believe it’s a good one. And if they meet, let the best man win. Let the Tyson family and the Mayweather family make huge money from this. And everyone who’s jealous — let them choke on it,” said Haney Sr.

The Mayweather vs Tyson exhibition is scheduled for spring 2026. An exact date and further details have yet to be confirmed.
