British promoter and Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn, who represents WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KO), shared his thoughts on the biggest possible fight for WBA lightweight titleholder Gervonta "Tank" Davis (30-0, 27 KO).
"If everyone acts sensibly—what other fights are there for Tank?
His next fight will be solid, but his opponent is a super featherweight (Lamont Roach—editor’s note). Tank will want to be in big fights. He’ll want to make big money, and I think the biggest fight for him is a showdown with Shakur Stevenson—and vice versa," said Hearn.
Stevenson's next bout is set for February 22, where he will face British fighter Josh Padley (15-0, 4 KO) as a replacement for Floyd Schofield.
Meanwhile, Davis will return to the ring on March 1 in a fight against Lamont Roach.
