Beterbiev Gets Next Opponent—And It’s Not Bivol

According to The Ring, former undisputed Light-Heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev will return to the ring on 22 November, but not in the long-awaited trilogy bout with Dmitry Bivol.

Instead, the Russian-Canadian puncher will face Deon Nicholson (22-1, 18 KOs) as part of the undercard of a major event headlined by David Benavidez vs. Anthony Yarde.

The show — The Ring IV: Night of the Champions — will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and also features: Brian Norman Jr. vs. Devin Haney,

Abdullah Mason vs. Sam Noakes, Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez vs. Fernando Martinez.

A Beterbiev–Bivol trilogy was originally expected, with the score between them currently tied 1-1 from previous meetings. For now, that chapter will have to wait.
