Former undisputed Light Heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev has announced that he is no longer signed to Top Rank, the promotional company headed by Bob Arum.
“Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my status. Since June of this year, I have been a free agent, as my contract with Top Rank expired.
I am grateful to Top Rank for the years of working together and I want to thank them for all the opportunities they provided,” Beterbiev wrote.
Beterbiev (21-1, 20 KOs) has not been in the ring since his loss to Dmitry Bivol in their rematch. He was scheduled to fight Deon Nicholson (22-1, 18 KOs) on November 22, but the bout was later canceled.
