Bernard Hopkins Names His Top 3 Pound-for-Pound Fighters. #1 Is Not Crawford or Canelo

Former world champion Bernard Hopkins has revealed who he considers the best with regards to pound-for-pound boxing rankings. According to him, it's Gervonta Davis. Following Davis, he lists Crawford and Canelo, respectively. Commenting, Hopkins said:

"Gervonta Davis - because of how he handled Ryan Garcia. How he did it.

I like Tank, but you can't underestimate the Crawford vs. Spence fight. Crawford follows Davis.

Canelo is in the top 3, but I don't see him at the top," said Hopkins in a comment to ESNews.

Gervonta Davis had his most recent bout in the spring of 2023 against Ryan Garcia, knocking him out in the 7th round. Terence Crawford scored a knockout victory over Errol Spence in the summer of 2023, securing the absolute championship in the 9th round. Saul Alvarez won a decision against Jermell Charlo in a bout between two absolute champions in September 2023.

Previously, Gervonta announced that his next fight would take place in early 2024.
