Berlanga to Shakur: “Don’t Want to Break Your Hand”

American super middleweight Edgar Berlanga has responded to comments from WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, who claimed that his fight with William Zepeda, not Berlanga’s, should be considered the true headliner of the July 12 card.

“This is crazy — I’ve been telling everyone it’s a double main event with two superstars on the poster. But now? Y’all gonna be asleep, and I’ll wake you back up with fireworks.

P.S. Don’t shake my hand when we meet. Don’t want to break your wrist before your fight. You’re in my city, bro. Don’t forget that,” said Berlanga.

On July 12, Stevenson vs. Zepeda will headline media week, while the official main event of the fight night will be Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz.
