What's Next?
Berlanga has his sights set on a fight against Alvarez. He mentioned this throughout the press tour leading up to the fight, asserting that a convincing victory would make him a contender for Canelo. This victory marks Edgar's first early win since 2020. According to Eddie Hearn, the Puerto Rican is now the WBA's top-ranked contender and a candidate for Canelo. So, an offer to Saul is definitely on its way. However, the choice of opponent for May 4th ultimately lies with the Mexican fighter.
