Berinchyk May Fight in the Usyk - Dubois Undercard

Promoter Alex Krassyuk has revealed details about the forthcoming match of International WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk. He stated that Berinchyk's upcoming fight might be staged as part of the undercard for the bout between WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and British heavyweight Daniel Dubois.

Krassyuk noted, "We are exploring the possibility of Berinchyk's match being featured in the Usyk-Dubois undercard. It's important to remember that Berinchyk also has another co-promoter, Frank Warren, who is equally committed to planning Denys' subsequent fight."

Previously, Krassyuk announced that Berinchyk's following fight was set for May 27, as part of the Lopez-Conlan event in Belfast. Later, the Ukrainian boxer's coach, Yehor Holub, indicated that the match would be rescheduled for the summer.

In his most recent fight, Berinchyk triumphed over EBU titleholder, Yvan Mendy of France. Following this victory, Denis entered into a co-promotion agreement with Frank Warren's promotion company.

Warren himself expressed pleasure with Berinchyk's bout against Mendy and suggested that the Ukrainian boxer might vie for the world champion title as soon as 2023.

Of note, Berinchyk had plans to defend his EBU European Champion title against Italian boxer Emiliano Marsili on June 24, but he renounced this title, leaving it vacant.
