Berinchyk vs. Loma: Is the Fight Possible? Krassyuk Shares Insights

Alexander Krassyuk, head of K2 Promotions and Chief Business Development Officer at RTFight, commented on the unification matches in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg) and the possibility of a meeting between Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) and Denys Berinchyk (18-0, 9 KOs) if they win against their current opponents.

- In May, Lomachenko and Berinchyk could become world champions. You once said that Vasyl would never agree to fight Denys. How realistic do you think a unification fight between Lomachenko and Berinchyk is, if they both win their titles?

- I think a unification bout between Berinchyk and Shakur Stevenson would be more realistic than with Lomachenko. I don't think the global community is very interested in a fight between two Ukrainians for several titles. Although for us, it would be a historic event. Regarding Lomachenko, I cannot comment because I do not know his real motives and plans. A lot still has to happen, but one thing I can say for sure is that we will be servering for our guys. And, God willing, the more champions we have in Ukraine, the more often our anthem will be played, our flag raised, and the more mentions in the global media there will be about our state. Onward to victory.

The bout for the vacant WBO lightweight title between Denys Berinchyk and Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs) will take place on May 18 in San Diego, USA. The fight for the IBF and IBO lightweight belts between Vasyl Lomachenko and George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) will be held on May 12 in Perth, Australia.
