WBO International lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk (16-0, 9 KOs) has confirmed a fight with EBU title holder Ivan Mendy (47-5-1, 22 KOs).
The fight will take place on December 3 in London. The fight between Berinchik and Mendy will take place on the undercard of the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora.
Initially, the fight of the Ukrainian was scheduled for October 22. Later, the fight was postponed to November 26, agreeing to hold it in London, but as a result, the fight with Mendy will take place only a month later.
It will be recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Berinchyk was in the ranks of the territorial defense. The 34-year-old Ukrainian last fought in December 2021, when he defeated the Russian Isa Chaniev by unanimous decision of the judges.
