The pride of Ukraine, Denys Berinchyk (18-0, 9 KOs), reigning WBO International lightweight champ (135 lbs), had a few choice words for WBC titleholder Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) from the US, who's been flirting with hanging up his gloves:
"Hold up, don't bail on us yet. We had a chat, remember?" Berinchyk jabbed in his stories.
The plot thickened when the WBO green-lit the Berinchyk vs. Navarrete face-off for the lightweight crown. Stevenson didn't mince words about his feelings:
"That's foul. Real foul play, my man," Stevenson fired back.
